A New Start

HAVE A TRANSFORMATIVE NEW YEAR!

Thank you to all PRS members and friends who generously helped us to meet and exceed our end of the year fundraising goal of $2500!

Donations of any amount to Pacific Rim Sculptors support PRS operating costs & exhibitions, and will provide new or renewal memberships for sculptors currently suffering financial hardships due to the COVID pandemic or other causes.

  • It is never too late to make a donation, just click "Donate" to begin.
  • If financial hardship would prevent your membership renewal, just send a brief email note to President@PacificRimSculptors.org with subject heading "Waiver Request".

This newsletter is a short one due to the holidays and ongoing COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

Your PRS Board of Directors meets this month to make plans for the New Year. Feel free to send your suggestions to info@PacificRimSculptors.org

Andrée Singer Thompson, an early PRS member, is a Bay Area artist and teacher who has exhibited internationally and nationally. Environmental justice and social justice are central themes in her often collaborative sculpture and educational site-specific installations. Check out Andrée's website:  AndreeSingerThompson.com

    Andrée sends the message below:

"Hello friends, relatives, students, colleagues, exes and all those supporting environmental and social justice arts!

"As some of you know, I am turning 84 on January 4th, and in lieu of gifts, I am asking that you make a donation to the inspiring work done by over 250 international women eco and social justice artists at WEAD, Womens EcoArt Dialog. I have been on the board of this dynamic organization for over 26 years and am now retiring. So in addition to my bday, this is in honor of the many wonderful years I have enjoyed and benefited from working with these amazing women. If you are not familiar with WEAD, please check out the website, look at the artists, and read the fantastic magazine!  Then, if you are an eco artist, writer, performer or curator, join WEAD!"

Donations to WEAD can be made at this PayPal link. Also check out WEAD's website:  www.weadartists.org  Checks can be mailed to WEAD, 4227 Martin Luther King Jr Way, Oakland, CA 94609.
